RADIOSURGERY DAY EVENTS

The stereotactic head ring is a placed on the patient early in the morning on the day of scheduled radiosurgery. The head ring provides a rigid frame of reference for the radiosurgery team to use in localizing the lesion within the patient's brain. With this ring in place, the radiosurgery team can target any lesion in the brain with an extremely high level of accuracy.
