6:30 am : Arrive at the radiosurgery waiting area within Shands Hospital at the Radiation Oncology Area (ground level)
7:00 am : The stereotactic head ring (a picture of which is available) is placed at this time.
7:15-8:15 am : A CT (CAT) scan is obtained with the head ring in place.
8:15-11:00 : The Radiosurgery Treatment Team analyzes your CT scan and MRI and creates a customized plan to treat your particular lesion.
11:00 am: Treatment begins. Most patients take 30-60 minutes to treat, while patients with more complicated lesions take from 1-2 hours.

Early to Mid-afternoon. : After a brief observation period in the waiting area, patients return home or to their local hotel if they are staying over night.
